If you are having your lower body assessed, it is best to wear athletic shorts. If you are having your upper body (neck, shoulders, arms) assessed, it is best to wear a loose t-shirt, tank top, or camisole.
Please note that I have shorts, gowns, and tank tops in the clinic should you forget yours and need to borrow!

Sometimes clients are concerned or worried about the unknown of a pelvic health PT evaluation. I understand! And you are not alone!
During the first part of a pelvic health assessment, we spend a good amount of time talking about the history of your symptoms so I can learn about what is bothering you. I often use pelvic anatomy models and pictures to get a clearer understanding of where your symptoms reside.
Then I will explain the PT tests and procedures that I recommend to get us more information about how your muscles, nerves, and bones of the pelvic region are functioning. This could include testing and palpating the muscles of the pelvic floor. If this is the direction you and I decide to go, then I help you get set up comfortably on a treatment table with pillows and you are covered with a sheet. There are no gynecological stirrups involved :) Your comfort and privacy are my top priorities.
If you have any other concerns or questions, you are welcome to email me prior to your appointment at blair@blairwatsonpt.com
